Sunderland Illuminations 2016
Station Taxis are proud to be sponsoring this years Sunderland Illuminations as it is set to be bigger and brighter than ever before!
The Sunderland Illuminations will light up Roker Park and the seafront from 24th September until 5th November.
We are getting in on the action and have illuminated one of our cabs, keep an eye out for it across the city!
Over 20 meters of LED lights have been fitted to one of our 8 seater vehicles to raise awareness of the Illuminations throughout the city. The cab will be a normal working taxi, travelling around Sunderland and the surrounding areas during the Illuminations to remind people about the spectacular displays along our seafront.

We are also sponsoring the ‘Pirate Zone’ a brand new and exciting feature area in Roker Park with lots to see and do!
The launch night is on Saturday 24th of September starting at 7pm and will see a host of entertainment from Sun Fm, Spark!Drummers, performances from St Anthony’s school choir and local singer Chloe Castro, who appeared on BBC’s The Voice.
This year the extended programme of lighting features new installations plus some old favourites. The big wheel was a massive hit last year and will return for this year’s event.
