Sunderland 2021 launch
We were pleased to be invited to the launch of the Sunderland 2021 Partnership Launch last Thursday 27th October.
In 2017, Sunderland will submit its bid to be the next UK City of Culture in 2021. Winning the bid will have a huge impact on the economic, social and cultural future of the City, its people and the wider North East Region. The Partnership Launch night was held at Ryhope Engines Museum where there was live music, art installments, film screenings and plenty of other things to see and do. The night was arranged so that local businesses could come and experience a taste of Sunderland’s cultural offer and learn how they can get involved and support Sunderland’s bid to be the next City of Culture in 2021.
A model of our very own Stephenson’s Rocket was also featured as part of the display on the night! (Part of the Station Taxis Logo)
